Suozzi Statement on the Last US Military Planes Leaving Afghanistan

Congressman Tom Suozzi (D-Long Island, Queens) released the following statement:
"Earlier today, the last US military planes left Afghanistan. While our military phase in Afghanistan has ended, our diplomatic phase will continue. My office has helped safely evacuate 35 people from Afghanistan and will continue to work with the State Department on safely evacuating additional families. I praise the hard work and bravery of the men and women serving in our military who helped safely evacuate over 123,000 people in the last two weeks under difficult conditions."
