Womack Reacts to Another Democrat Attempt to Federalize Elections

Statement

Date: Aug. 24, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) released the below statement after voting against H.R. 4, the House Democrats' latest proposal to federalize elections, give more power to unelected career bureaucrats, and erode states' rights:

"The ability to vote is one of the most sacred rights we have as citizens of our great republic. It's a privilege to be protected. Attempts to centralize election control in the hands of the federal government and unelected bureaucrats will do everything but that. The Constitution is clear--these rights are reserved to the states."
