PATCHOGUE, NY - Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1), member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and a United States Army veteran, just issued the following statement after President Biden's speech this afternoon, refusing to accept responsibility for the historic failure planning and executing the United States withdrawal from Afghanistan:
"President Biden didn't take responsibility in his speech for anything. There was zero responsibility at all taken for our country's epic, historic failure executing this withdrawal from Afghanistan. Then, without answering any questions from the media, President Biden immediately went back on his vacation. This ongoing disaster is an extremely consequential, unforgettable and unforgiveable disgrace."
