Washington, D.C. -- Today, Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement calling on President Biden to remove Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley:

"President Biden's Afghanistan withdrawal has cost American servicemen and women their lives and left American citizens and allies behind enemy lines. The incompetence and mismanagement displayed by Secretary Blinken, Secretary Austin, and Chairman Milley in planning and executing this operation endangered the lives of American civilians and damaged America's international standing. There must be accountability for this poorly executed operation. President Biden needs to take immediate action by firing those responsible or admit that he ignored their advice and bears sole responsibility for this bungled withdrawal."
