"Veterans who live with PTSD or other mental health conditions deserve access to every possible treatment option, including dog training therapy. I am incredibly proud to see this bipartisan bill be signed into law so that our brave servicemen and women can have another tool they can use to improve and save their lives on the homefront."
Background:
The bill creates a five-year pilot program at the Department of Veterans Affairs to allow veterans with mental health conditions like depression and PTSD to be eligible to receive service dogs.
