U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) released the following statement after the passing of former Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.):

"Today we lift up Sen. Mike Enzi and his entire family in prayer in the wake of his sudden passing. Mike was joyful, hardworking, and so profoundly dedicated to bettering the lives of Wyomingites throughout his life. Heidi and I extend our deepest condolences to Mike's wife of over 50 years, Diana, their three children, and four grandchildren as we mourn his loss."
