Today, U.S. Representative John Rutherford (FL-04) introduced H.R. 4296, the Freedom to Fly Act. This legislation would prohibit the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) from requiring vaccine passports or proof of COVID-19 vaccination for domestic flights.
"The TSA has no right to compel American travelers to disclose sensitive health information," said Rutherford. "This includes vaccination records, or so-called "vaccine passports.' Our freedoms as Americans must not be sacrificed under the guise of public safety."
Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) has introduced a companion bill in the Senate.
