Date: June 16, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Homeland Security Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded $5,935,883 to the North Dakota Department of Health. This grant, made available under the Stafford Act, will reimburse costs associated with testing, staffing, and additional efforts related to the department's COVID-19 public health emergency response efforts.

"The State of North Dakota has continued to respond to COVID-19 over the last year and this funding will help offset the costs of their work combatting the pandemic," said Hoeven.
