U.S. Representative Greg Steube (R-Fla.) today joined fellow Republican Study Committee (RSC) Members to announce the RSC Budget for FY22. This budget, titled "Reclaiming our Fiscal Future," included Steube's legislation, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.
"Under Democrat leadership in both Congress and the White House, we have seen record spending of taxpayer dollars at a time when our economy is in turmoil," Steube said. "I'm honored to join the Republican Study Committee in offering a budget that not only cuts taxes and balances in five short years, but also properly showcases our conservative priorities, like my Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act."
This budget promotes transparency in the federal budgeting process and reduces spending by $14.4 trillion over ten years, balancing the budget in a short five years. Included in this budget are provisions that shield the middle class from capital gains taxes, protect the unborn, invest in border security, protect Second Amendment rights, and more.
Earlier this Congress, Steube reintroduced the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, which is included in the RSC budget along with three other bills that aim to protect opportunities for women, girls, and children. This legislation ensures that women and girls are allowed a fair playing field in competitive sports by ensuring that school athletics comply with the Title IX recognition of a person's reproductive biology and genetics at birth.
