Sen. Cramer: North Dakota Receives over $1.8 Million for Aging Research, Head Start Programs

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded North Dakota State University (NDSU) $1,437,570 for aging research. HHS also awarded $450,551 in Head Start and Early Head Start program funds to the following recipients:

$108,650 to Southeastern North Dakota Community Action Agency,
$99,320 to Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians,
$61,398 to TGU School District #60,
$57,184 to Community Action Partnership, Inc.,
$47,553 to Cankdeska Cikana Community College,
$40,932 to Community Action Region VI, and
$35,514 to Housing, Industry, Training, Inc.
Head Start and Early Head Start programs promote school readiness for young children and toddlers from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development as well as early learning, health, and family well-being.
