Congressman Simpson's Statement on House GOP Leadership Election

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Mike Simpson congratulates Congressman John Boehner for winning the House Majority Leader today.

"Congressman Boehner is a unique individual that has the ability to bring people together to work toward a common goal, he is one of the most effective Chairman in the House of Representatives, he is a Statesman," Simpson said. "I'm proud to have John leading our Conference out of the difficulties before us and back to the values and principals that we espouse. America will benefit from John's leadership."

Boehner, Chairman of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce replaces Tom Delay for House Majority Leader.
