U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), a Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee member, announced today the Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Fossil Energy has awarded $1.5 million to the University of North Dakota's (UND) Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC).

The funds are part of a nationwide investment which will be used to support the production of rare earth elements and critical minerals. Learn more here.
