Governor Kate Brown Visits Community Vaccine Clinic in Washington County

Governor Kate Brown today visited the COVID-19 community vaccine clinic at Nike, a partnership between Washington County, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, Nike, and the cities of Beaverton and Tigard.

"We must work to make sure Oregonians can get vaccinated as quickly as possible. Community clinics made possible by public-private partnerships are an innovative way to reach Oregonians where they are in our communities with vaccines," said Governor Brown. "I'd like to thank everyone who worked together to make this clinic possible for the residents of Washington County."

The clinic has administered over 17,000 vaccine doses so far----supported by 5,860 volunteer hours from Nike employees and City of Beaverton and Tigard volunteers----to frontline workers and other eligible community members in Washington County.

Joining Governor Brown were Beaverton Mayor Lacey Beaty, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Chief Deric Weiss, county public health and clinic officials, and Nike and city employee volunteers. The Governor toured the drive-through community clinic, and met clinic workers and volunteers, as well as frontline workers receiving vaccines.
