Torres Announces $9+ Million for Local Health Centers

Congresswoman Norma J. Torres (CA-35) today announced more than $9 million in funding coming to the Inland Empire as a result of President Biden's American Rescue Plan. The Congressionally passed relief will support Unicare Community Health Center in Ontario and Parktree Community Health Center in Pomona.

Congresswoman Torres, who has announced $579,612,085 in COVID relief for the Inland Empire since the pandemic began, released the following statement:

"Parktree and Unicare Health Centers have been heroic in their support for the most vulnerable members of the Inland Empire community throughout this pandemic," Rep. Norma J. Torres said."The funding I'm announcing today will not only allow them to continue serving in this critical role, but it also highlights how the American Rescue Plan is delivering the relief we need to put this pandemic behind us. I congratulate the professionals at both Parktree and Unicare on these well-deserved awards, and look forward to the impact these facilities will have putting these funds to good work."
