DelBene Announces Launch of Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Program

Today, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) announced that the U.S. Small Business Administration's Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) program has begun accepting applications. This funding is available through the American Rescue Plan to support Washington state small businesses and workers. The program includes a total of over $16 billion in resources for shuttered venues such as performing arts centers, movie theaters, and museums.

"Venues have been hit uniquely hard by this pandemic," said DelBene. "The opening of the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program is another step toward getting people back to work and rebuilding our economy. These grants will help Washington state's shuttered venues avoid permanent closure and put paychecks back in workers' pockets."

Who Can Apply:

Live venue operators or promoters
Theatrical producers
Live performing arts organization operators
Museum operators, zoos, and aquariums that meet specific criteria
Motion picture theater operators
Talent representatives
