Rep. Boozman Hosts Transit Symposium for Northwest Arkansas Officials

U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today welcomed officials from Northwest Arkansas to Washington, D.C. for a symposium on how the federal government can help address the region's transportation needs.

The event, hosted by Boozman, featured allowed the delegation of officials to meet key staffers from the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Federal Transit Administration and the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships. Boozman opened and closed the discussion and the experts provided detailed information on the options for the region's developing transportation needs.

"The Third District of Arkansas is growing at an amazing pace and we need a big picture approach to address the region's transportation needs. I commend this delegation for their efforts to create a long-term vision for Northwest Arkansas's infrastructure development and believe that today's event will help us as they map out a strategy," said Boozman.

"Northwest Arkansas has seen unprecedented growth in recent years, which is why I invited these community leaders to Washington. Today's event gave them an opportunity to hear from experts and get their advice," added Boozman.
