McCollum Endorses Chris Coleman for St. Paul Mayor

Congresswoman Betty McCollum proudly endorses Chris Coleman in his campaign for mayor of St. Paul. McCollum issued the following statement after hosting a unity breakfast in which she was joined by Chris Coleman, Ramsey County Commissioner Rafael Ortega, state, county and St. Paul elected officials, labor leaders and DFL party leaders from St. Paul.

"Chris Coleman has my strong support and the support of a unified, energized DFL party. Chris is a dynamic, exciting leader with the ability to bring St. Paul's families and neighborhoods together to share a common vision for our future. I am ready to get to work for Chris and do everything I can to help get him elected in November. He will be a great mayor."

"I also want to extend my sincere admiration for the hard fought campaign waged by Rafael Ortega and all his supporters. Rafael is a person I respect greatly and look forward to his continued leadership for the future of both Ramsey County and St. Paul. His gracious and strong endorsement of our DFL candidate speaks to Rafael's commitment to our party and to electing a new mayor."

Congresswoman McCollum will join Chris Coleman and Rafael Ortega at the Cinco de Mayo Parade on St. Paul's Westside on Saturday, May 7th at 10 a.m. All supporters of Betty and the DFL are welcome.
