President Bush's Education Policies Make America Less Competitive

"During President Bush's corporate campus visit in Minnesota, he refused to explain how American businesses can remain competitive when Republicans in Washington have put college education out of reach for millions of students. Only yesterday, Congress slashed $12 billion to student financial aid," said Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN-04). "How can our public schools educate the engineers and scientists of tomorrow when the Bush administration and Congress underfunded the No Child Left Behind Act by $40 billion?"
