His vision for 21st century infrastructure is exactly what our country needs to build back better. Secretary Buttigieg has vowed to reject old policies at the Department of Transportation that have divided communities and created racial inequality. He's committed himself to promoting multi-modal, modern and green transportation systems that better the lives of Americans. And, knows that infrastructure projects will create good paying jobs for our country.

"Pete Buttigieg is ready to lead and will promote true equity through infrastructure and investments at the local level. His focus is on empowering and improving the lives of every American by seizing a generational opportunity to rebuild our infrastructure and ensure the United States remains competitive on the global stage. I look forward to working alongside Secretary Buttigieg to deliver on this vision for Marylanders, by funding and improving WMATA, repairing the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and promoting transit oriented development throughout our state."
