Congressman Anthony G. Brown (MD-04) released the following statement praising President-elect Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion coronavirus rescue package:

"President-elect Joe Biden has introduced a clear-eyed start to our efforts rebuilding this country. As infections surge and deaths continue to rise, this plan prioritizes the health of Americans with a sizable investment in our vaccination and testing capabilities. As working families continue to struggle, this plan provides immediate help that will cut child poverty, keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. As essential workers put in long hours, this plan keeps frontline workers, first responders and educators on the job to get us moving again. And this plan will uplift Black and brown disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and resulting economic fall-out.
