Capito Mourns Loss of Miners at Alma Mine

CHARLESTON, WV- (1/22) - Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) issued the following statement on the loss of two miners at the Aracoma Alma #1 mine in Logan County.

"West Virginia extends its deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of the two lost miners. There is not a mountaineer among us who does not understand the risks our coal miners take each day. Every miner lost is someone's son, father, husband, and brother. Our hearts ache for all of their families."

"Today and always we will stand with our coal miners and renew our commitment to improving the safety of West Virginia mines."
