Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) issued the following statement today in support of the House Resolution 24, the article of impeachment against President Trump for incitement of insurrection, which Congressmen David Cicilline (RI-01), Ted Lieu (CA-33), and Jamie Raskin (MD-08) introduced in the House of Representatives, and of which Congresswoman Fletcher is an original co-sponsor:
"President Trump has shown he represents a grave threat to our Constitution and to our country. He willfully incited an attack against the Government of the United States--an assault on our democracy that would once have been unthinkable. For these reasons and these actions, he must be impeached."
