Congressman Ami Bera, M.D (D-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, and Nonproliferation today chaired a subcommittee hearing on the United States-Taiwan relationship.

"The United States and Taiwan share a robust strategic partnership rooted in our common values of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law," said Chairman Bera. "In addition to its rich history and culture, the people of Taiwan have much to offer the global community, proven by their ability to successfully mobilize and respond to the COVID-19 virus which has been a model for the rest of the world. I look forward to working with the members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee to continue bolstering our bipartisan commitment to the United States-Taiwan relationship."
