Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) issued the following statement after his Democratic House colleagues voted to re-elect him as a co-chair of the Democrats' messaging arm, the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee.

"I am honored that I will have the opportunity to serve in House leadership again as Co-Chair of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee. The dynamics of Washington will be different this coming Congress compared to when I first ran for DPCC Co-Chair two years ago, but Democrats' efforts to ensure that government is working for the people remain unchanged. One of the biggest takeaways I have from my first two years in this role is that what we do as a Caucus is important, but so is how we talk about it. We found the value in cultivating and amplifying the unique and successful ways many Members communicate with their constituents. I look forward to working with fellow Co-Chairs Dingell, Cartwright and Neguse on helping each Member navigate changing media landscapes and convey our efforts to improve the conditions of families around the country."
