TOWN HALL MEETINGS: "Understanding the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit"

During the week of January 23, 2006, Congressman Sanford Bishop will hold a series of two town hall meetings in order to help constituents take advantage of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC).

"The Earned Income and Child Tax Credits are outstanding programs that provide tax incentives to low- and moderate-income workers," said Congressman Bishop. "We are holding these meetings to help all eligible constituents file for the credits, which this year may be worth up to $4,400 for families and $1,000 per child."

Family Connections Coordinators as well as ministers and representatives from the Department of Children and Family Services have been invited to attend, however the meetings are open to the public and will be taped for airing on local public access channels.

Tuesday, January 24, 2006 - Albany, GA Map
