Diaz-Balart Hosts Medicare Town Hall in Homestead

Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) today co-hosted a Town Hall meeting with the City of Homestead regarding the new Medicare prescription drug program which takes effect in 2006. The town hall was at Homestead Senior Citizen Center at 43 NE 16th Street in Homestead.

"When the new Medicare prescription drug benefit takes effect on January 1, it will mark another important step in realizing the government's 40-year-old promise to make quality health care available to every eligible senior citizen in the United States," said Diaz-Balart, a member of the Speaker's Prescription Drug Action Team. "This voluntary prescription drug program will assist seniors with their prescription drug expenses."
