Stauber Applauds Monumental Decision on Line 3 Replacement Project

Today, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) issued the following statement after the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency issued state permits necessary for construction on the Line 3 replacement project.

"Today's announcement is long-awaited and welcomed news for thousands of Minnesotans. The Line 3 replacement project has been under review for six years, with only a few permits pending before construction can finally begin. Minnesotans and our environment cannot afford to wait much longer for the economic prosperity and safety this project guarantees, and I remain hopeful construction will begin soon."
