Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) released the following statement on the normalization of ties between Sudan and Israel:

"I commend the transitional government of Sudan for establishing diplomatic relations with Israel, a decision that holds great promise for the Sudanese and Israeli people and the region. This achievement was made possible thanks to more deft diplomacy by the president and his team. They deserve due credit for advancing the stability and peace of the Middle East and North Africa."
