The state of Rhode Island is at a crossroads. Our economy is under immense pressure from the coronavirus and bids by neighboring states to relocate. As your state representative, I will:

Support funding for Commerce RI to continue to target industries and companies for relocation

Support legislation to create tax incentives for financial companies to relocate service and operations entities to Rhode Island, much like the state did with Fidelity (i.e. John Hancock, Empower, Sun Life, State Street Bank, etc.) which provides good paying jobs to Rhode Islanders

Support initiatives to relocate remote workers to Rhode Island (similar to relocation programs offered by Vermont and Tulsa, OK)

Support incentives to create green jobs in solar and wind power manufacturing, industries which have significant skills crossover with marine manufacturing

Support expanded career and technical education funding at the high school level to create a skilled workforce

Support increasing the state tipped minimum wage to coincide with minimum wage increases - RI's tipped workers have been left behind in the minimum wage discussion
