Issue Position: Stop the Pension Crisis from Bankrupting Us

Issue Position

Every Governor and Legislature from 1943 to 2012 has played a role in digging our great Commonwealth into a $43 billion hole. Now we are tasked with moving past blame to begin righting the wrongs of prior leadership. I hope constituents who don't know me well will discover that I am a tenacious problem-solver who is guided by faith and the principles found in the United States Constitution. I will approach the pension issue with a level head and listen to common-sense solutions. I do believe recent tax reform is a step in the right direction towards financial stability in our state, but we will need to continue to address how this burden has grown to touch every citizen in Kentucky. I hope, if elected, that you will reach out to my office to voice your fears and concerns and to offer your thoughts on solutions to this problem.
