U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) just released the following statement regarding Secretary Carson's visit to downtown Austin today and his roundtable, which was light on solutions and heavy on rhetoric:
"The Secretary revealed that, just as with COVID, health care, and most every other issue, President Trump has no plan for those experiencing homelessness--only platitudes and criticism of others. And, like Trump, too many Republican officials view homelessness as a wedge issue to divide our community instead of uniting us behind practical solutions to help the most vulnerable."
