Delgado Holds Virtual Information Session on U.S. Military Service Academies and ROTC Programs

WASHINGTON, DC -- On Thursday, October 1, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) held a virtual information session to provide members of the community with information about the application and nomination process for U.S. Military Service Academies and ROTC programs. The event included a moderated discussion with a panel of representatives from the five U.S. Service Academies and Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Programs, as well as a question and answer portion.

"I want to thank all of the panelists and members of our community who joined my virtual information session about the application and nomination process for U.S. Military Service Academies and ROTC programs. During these challenging times, I am inspired by the dedication of our men and women in the Armed Forces and the young people interested in a career of service to our nation," said Rep. Antonio Delgado. "Applications are available right now on my website for folks interested in a nomination to a service academy for the Fall of 2021. I encourage students to apply before the end of this month and wish everyone the best of luck throughout this process."

Representative Delgado has the honor of nominating qualified young people from New York's 19th Congressional District for attendance at four Military Service Academies: the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York; the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. Students who want to learn more about applying to a U.S. Military Service Academy should visit Rep. Delgado's website to learn more about the process and download an application. The deadline for submitting a completed nomination packet for the class entering in Fall 2021 is October 30, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
