Issue Position

Government must live within its means. George believes that governments should focus on their core competencies: infrastructure, public safety, and other vital services. Fiscally responsible leadership at the local level has prepared Butler County to weather economic downturns and maintain public services. George wants to take this "Butler County model" to Columbus. He has consistently fought to cut taxes and lower spending. Most recently, he voted to give Ohioans an income tax cut. He is also focused on reducing the cost and complexity of government by eliminating burdensome regulations.
