Issue Position

Health care is a right. My support of the Affordable Care Act and my fight against the Trump administration's efforts to undermine it are based on this fundamental belief.

We must expand access to high-quality, affordable health care in our region and across the country. I continue to fight for health care that fits families' budgets.

I support universal health care coverage by creating a public option and allowing Medicare buy-in. We must support protections for pre-existing conditions, ensure veterans get the care they need and pass the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Enhancement Act to lower health coverage costs and prescription drug prices.

I am fighting to strengthen Social Security and Medicare, stand against privatizing Social Security and advocate for nutrition assistance for seniors.
