U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement after the Trump Administration recently announced amendments to the Cuban Assets Control Regulations (CACR), which is targeting sources of revenue for corrupt members of the Cuban dictatorship and military:

"The Trump Administration continues to deliver on its promise of reversing the Obama Administration's disastrous one-sided Cuba policy, which provided a life-line to the repressive regime of Raúl Castro," Rubio said. "We must continue to close loopholes that permit corrupt members of the Cuban dictatorship and military to enrich their pockets at the expense of the Cuban people, who are still subjected to an oppressive puppet-tyrant."

Rubio is the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian Security, Democracy, Human Rights, and Global Women's Issues.
