Recognizing Dr. Pete Mourani, Arkansas Children's Research Institute President

Mr. HILL of Arkansas. Madam Speaker, today I rise to recognize Dr. Pete Mourani, who, after a nationwide search, has been named the fifth president of Arkansas Children's Research Institute and senior vice president and chief research officer. Dr. Mourani also serves as a professor of pediatrics and pediatric critical care in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Dr. Mourani previously served as medical director of Children's Hospital Clinical Research Organization and most recently, the medical director of Children's Hospital Colorado Research Institute.

Dr. Mourani was named the Ross and Mary Whipple Family Distinguished Research Scientist Endowed Chair at Arkansas Children's.

I am confident that children and their families will find the best care possible under Dr. Mourani's leadership, and I congratulate him on his new role.
