Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) issued the following statement after President Trump announced his nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court.

"I support President Trump's Constitutional right and duty to fill this vacancy. Further, I hope the Senate will quickly move forward with the confirmation process and all necessary hearings. Amy Coney Barrett is a solid Constitutionalist and highly regarded judge. She will make an excellent addition to our nation's highest court."
