DeLauro Calls for the Immediate Firing of Michael Caputo

Statement

"Mr. Caputo has claimed that the president personally put him in charge of his $250 million advertising campaign intended to help America to get back to normal. We now know this is a propaganda campaign that must be defunded immediately. It is not the mission of the Department of Health and Human Services to get the President reelected.

"Mr. Caputo is not fit to spend one dime of taxpayers' dollars, and I am still awaiting answers from Secretary Azar about how Mr. Caputo may have further misused taxpayer funding. This country needs real leadership and governance by truth, not a propaganda campaign led by a conspiracy theorist.

"Michael Caputo must resign immediately. If he does not, Secretary Azar must fire him."
