U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (TN-02) released the following statement regarding the National Defense Authorization Act:

"This year's NDAA started out as a good bill, but the hundreds of amendments that were added made the original product unrecognizable. Millions of taxpayer dollars were tacked onto the already expensive legislation to fund partisan priorities unrelated to our national defense. I hope the Senate strips out the big government pork that's been piled on this bill."
