It is up to the Federal Government to protect and secure our southern border, but when the politicians in Washington D.C. can't agree how to do that, the Texas State Legislature has stepped up to do what is necessary to protect our citizens. For the third session in a row I am proud to support and vote for the $800 million border security package that sent Texas DPS Troopers to the border full-time to assist in maintaining safety and security.
