Today, Congressman Roger Marshall, M.D., voted in opposition to H.R. 7608, Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 2021. Congressman Marshall issued the following statement after the vote:

"Rather than work to craft bipartisan funding legislation that President Trump can sign into law, Democrats decided to load this bill with partisan left-wing priorities to cater to their radical base," said Rep. Marshall. "This bill would overturn the pro-life Mexico City policy, prohibit funds from being used to build the wall on the southern border, and apply harsh environmental regulations on farmers and livestock producers, among other harmful provisions. Before coming to Congress, I promised to protect life, our national security, and the rural way of life. I will not support legislation that throws these policies out the window and hurts Kansans."
