U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), a Senate Banking Committee member, issued the following statement on President Donald J. Trump signing the Hong Kong Autonomy Act into law today:

"By signing our Hong Kong Autonomy Act, President Trump is affirming our country's support for the people of Hong Kong. The United States stands with them in their fight against communist oppression."

Senator Cramer cosponsored this legislation and worked with the Administration to improve the bill before it passed.
