U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued the following statement on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily staying the district court's order today to shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline by August 5:

"Common sense prevails. The shutdown order was unreasonable and a clear example of judicial overreach. I hope the time will be used to find common ground among litigants."
