Issue Position

For the first time in years, Illinois has a real balanced budget. Because of bipartisan negotiations, Illinois has a plan that helps pay down old bills, ensures the funding for vital services to its residents, while also making sure that working families and the middle class are not overburdened with the cost.

But we can do more.
Illinoisians deserve meaningful property tax relief, and i'll be a fierce advocate for taxpayers. As someone who has been on a homeowners association and as a homeowner myself, i know how burdensome property taxes can be for working families like mine.

We have already shown that we can provide for, and even improve, our state's services while also lowering taxes for working families through smart legislation and responsible budgeting.

As your representative i will never vote to move the burden of paying for services from the ultra-rich to the middle class.
