Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) and Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, hosted a virtual meeting for the women that her office highlighted during 2019 and 2020 as Nevada Women in STEM - honoring these incredible women and recognizing their contributions to Nevada.
"As our nation faces a global pandemic, the need for more women in STEM careers has never been greater," said Senator Rosen. "Women working in STEM fields are working to develop the next breakthrough, working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, and solving the biggest challenges facing our country and the world. I'm proud to be leading the way in Congress to provide students in Nevada, and across the country, greater access to STEM education. Our workforce needs more women in STEM and I will continue working to encourage and inspire our girls to pursue STEM education."
