U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) released the following statement announcing $10,038,135 in grant allocations awarded to Nevada from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to be used for Fiscal Year 2020 preparedness programs.
"Our top priority is looking out for the safety and well-being of Nevadans and all who visit our state," said the Senators. "We applaud the Department of Homeland Security for allocating these funds to Nevada which, among other things, will be used to protect our cities, our state as a whole, our places of worship, and our public transportation systems. We will continue working in Congress to ensure Nevada is provided with the resources and funding needed to ensure our safety."
