Our government needs to live by the same standards our families do. We cannot continue to spend more money than we have and expect to succeed. I did NOT support the unbalanced state budget in 2017. It included a 32% permanent tax increase, NO reforms, and short changed our most vulnerable. I have a proven record of reaching across the aisle to get things done. I voted YES on the bipartisan budget in 2018 that passed out of the house by a vote of 97-18. Taxing the people of Illinois, borrowing and sweeping other funds is not the answer to our problems. Springfield must put politics aside and put the people first.
