Senator Blue knows we must invest in our schools to help us keep existing industries and to recruit new businesses to North Carolina.
"It is critical that we utilize our state's community college system to serve as a major tool when it comes to economic development in every single county in our state. That means investing in job training and work force preparedness programs that will serve the needs of our existing businesses and will be attractive to those enterprises looking at moving to North Carolina."
Throughout his career, Dan Blue has been an advocate for small business. "I have proposed a series of measures to help small business access credit, to grow their business and streamline reporting to cut out red tape when dealing with state government -- providing tax refunds for 125,000 small businesses that employ more than 500,000 people across the state."
