Immigration reform in the U.S. has been a hot button topic, and immigration reform in Congress has failed at every attempt. Monica's experience living on the border helps her have a better understanding of the need for border security and immigration reform. Monica believes that we should lean on the expertise of Border Patrol on what the best measures to protect our border and citizens are. She will work to dispel the controversies on U.S. border security while in Congress, focusing on reform to keep people from coming in the wrong way. We need a strong border to protect our American citizens first.
