Hoeven Announces Funding for Water Infrastructure Improvements in Belcourt County

Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations and Senate Indian Affairs Committees, today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development has awarded a $3,389,800 grant to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. Today's funding will be used to make essential infrastructure improvements to the Belcourt County water treatment plant to enhance water quality in the region.

"Today's grant will permit the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians to make important improvements to their water treatment facility as they update and improve their infrastructure in order to provide safe, reliable water," said Hoeven.
